JAMILEH SAMAAN, age 62; of Fairview Park, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 after a battle with breast cancer. Wife of Samir Elias for 39 years; loving mother of Roula Tekautz (John), Mari Elias and Sara Elias; dearest grandmother of Noah and a granddaughter on the way; daughter of the late Wehbi and Katiba Samaan; dear sister of Naaem, Jamal, Saleem, Fadi, Naaema and Najat; beloved aunt and dear friend of many in the United States and Syria.

She was born in Barshin, Syria on January 22, 1964. She moved to the United States with her husband and three daughters in 1998. Despite all she endured in life and throughout her illness, her love for her family and friends and her faith in God never wavered. She would always tell her family, “Thank God for everything." She was selfless, resilient, kindhearted, offered a helping hand to anyone who needed it, and made everyone around her laugh with her witty humor and sarcasm. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her loved ones, shopping, singing and dancing, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her food made with love. Most importantly, she was an incredible mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always live on in our hearts, and the memories she made with her loved ones will not be forgotten. She touched everyone's lives in the most special way.

All services will be held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2587 W. 14th St., Cleveland, Monday, February 16, 2026. Family and friends received in church from 12-1 p.m. with the service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
