Jean "Nanie" Laponza

JEAN “NANIE” LaPONZA (nee Russo), age 89; beloved wife of the late Fred for 64 years; loving mother of Georgene Hiser and Sam (Jan); cherished grandmother of Kelly Anne (Joe), Sam, Jr., Freddie “Fredo”, Matthew (Deena), Jason (Nikki), Jackie “Binky” (Steve) and Michael (Melissa); great-grandmother of Kaitlin (John), Summer, Aiden, Peyton, Gianna, Jordan, James and Steven; daughter of the late George and Luisa Russo; sister of Charles Russo and the late Angela Zelman and Betty Russo; dear aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt, Godmother and friend of many. Jean was the matriarch of her family. She enjoyed art, decorating, cooking, working side by side with her husband at the Corral Rock and Roll Club, but most of all, spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columbkille Church, 6740 Broadview Rd., Parma, Saturday, January 21 at 10 a.m. (please meet at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
