John G. Atamanec

JOHN G. ATAMANEC, age 73; beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Horvath); loving father of John “Jay” Atamanec; son of the late John and Olga Atamanec (nee Meinyk); brother of the late Joan Evans (Timothy); uncle of Mallory Evans; cousin of Paul Meinyk (deceased) and Shirley Paton; friend of many. John was an extremely avid Cleveland sports fan and a constant caller on sports radio shows, known as John from Old Brooklyn.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cleveland APL, 1729 Wiley Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113 or the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, 9500 Sweet Valley Dr., Valley View, OH 44125. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), TUESDAY, MARCH 2, 2021 FROM 4-7 P.M. with a closing prayer at 6:30 p.m. Social distancing and masks required. Private entombment at Brooklyn Heights Mausoleum.
