JOHN R. BURKE, Age 92; loving husband of Beverly (nee Whitcomb) for 66 years; beloved father of Jeff (Michelle) and Karen Merkle (David); cherished grandfather of Brian and Derek Merkle; great grandfather of four; brother of Dorothy, Don, Bill, Bob and Charlie; uncle, cousin and dear friend of many. John was a U.S. Army veteran serving overseas in the 1950’s. He was a self-taught draftsman, designing tools and fasteners for several businesses including Lamson & Sessions and Lake Erie Screw Corporation from which he retired. John loved life. Everyone John came in contact with, it was his goal to make sure he brought a smile to their face. Service at the Funeral Home, Tuesday April 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
