JOHN CHERNEK, age 88; beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Blumenthal) for 66 years; loving father of Ronald (Marie), Michelle Budzik (Gary) and Michael; dearest grandfather of Lauren Budzik, Ryan Budzik and Jonathan; dearest brother, uncle and friend of many. John was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a member of Sokol Ceska Sin. He loved everyone he met and gave hugs to all those along the way. He will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, Friday, August 30, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY 3-7 P.M.
