John J. Elszasz

John J. Elszasz, age 87 of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021; beloved husband of 62 years to Judy (nee Olson); dearest father of Jeff (Jennifer), Jon (Audrey), Tom (Amy), Kate Mullally (Terry), and Jenny McWhorter (Mike); loving grandfather of 11; great grandfather of four. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Julia (nee Tobias), his son Jeff, and sister’s Mary, Barbara, Betty and most recently Helen who passed away on February 4, 2021. John was born and raised in Fairport, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 ½ years. He was a very hard working man and loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed playing golf, working on cars and small engines, creating beautiful wood pieces for his loved ones, and rooting on his Cleveland sports teams. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
