John "Hans" Schmidt

JOHN "HANS" SCHMIDT, passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 95. A professional bricklayer by trade, John was a masterful craftsman and one-time "Zuckerbäcker". John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Hildegarde (nee Kastl). He is survived by his brother Oskar Schmidt (Helly), his three daughters: Inge Schmidt (Ajit), Eveline Blum (Harald) and Monika Strah (Steven). John was a beloved grandfather to Megan Schmidt-Sane (Luke), Peter Schmidt-Sane (Chelsea) and Hunter Strah. John's humor, kindness and integrity will always be cherished. Private services and interment at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.
