It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John Christian Jensen, Jr. Known as Chris by family and friends, he was born on June 11,1958 in New York City and lost his battle to leukemia on October 26th, at the age of 68. He was a fighter and lived a life full of passion and dedication.

Chris was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn of 30 years, who passed away in 2011. He leaves behind his daughter, Meagan, and his brother Steve, along with all those whose lives he touched throughout the years.

A proud lifelong Cleveland sports fan, Chris had a special place in his heart for basketball and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He dedicated more than 35 years of his career to the Cavaliers organization, serving as Box Office Manager. His years with the team were more than just a career, they reflected his genuine love for Cleveland sports and the community he was proud to be part of.

A graduate of Mount Union College, where he also played football, Chris carried his love of sports throughout his life. After retiring from the Cavaliers, he continued his love of sports by pouring it into his work at Valleaire Golf Club, where he worked part-time. Through golf, he continued to forge many memories and friendships in his later years.

Outside of work and sports, Chris found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved good food, cooking, gardening and traveling. Whether yelling at the Cleveland Browns, preparing a meal, tending to his tomato plants, or visiting his daughter in her worldly travels, he embraced the things he loved.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

The memorial service for Chris will be held at 1pm at Valleaire Golf Club located at 6969 Boston Road in Hinckley, Ohio. Please join us in celebrating the memories shared with family and friends that will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
