JOHN V. PERC, age 81, of North Royalton, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, August 24, 2026. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Raskaus) for 54 years; loving father of Ryan (Christina), Nathan (Michelle), and Evan Perc; proud grandfather of Deklyn and Brooklyn; son of the late John and Hazel (nee Fiorruci); brother of Joyce Doller (Alan); and brother-in-law of Jerome Raskaus (Kathy).

John attended Warrensville High School and was awarded a baseball scholarship to Arizona State University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1962 and served on aircraft carriers and swift boats in Vietnam. He met his wife, Janet, in 1968, and they were married in 1971. Together, they had three sons: Ryan, Nathan, and Evan.

In addition to his family, John loved his dog Bailey, sports, beer, bourbon, and, most of all, his zero-turn lawn mower. Mowing the neighbors’ lawns gave him great pleasure.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at Stancato’s Restaurant, 7380 State Rd., Parma, on Sunday, August 30, between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers please.

A committal service with military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on August 31, 2026.
