Joseph Dougherty

JOSEPH A. DOUGHERTY III, age 81, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. Beloved husband of Michelle (nee Miller); loving father of Brittani Mild (Erik), Colin Dougherty, Paul Dougherty (Lesley), Anthony Dougherty (Christen), Joey Dougherty and Trisha Vassallo (Frank); dearest grandfather of Veronica, Aaron, Caroline and Emily; son of the late Joseph II and Elizabeth Chambers Dougherty (nee Lafferty); brother of Sue Harris; brother-in-law of Richard Miller; uncle and friend of many. Joe was an amazing golfer, had three holes in one, bowled two perfect games and went to the Olympic tryouts for swimming when he was 19 years old.  He was an accomplished singer, an excellent artist and sketch painter, a quality service engineer and a park ranger. He will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org or to the Parma Animal Shelter www.parmashelter.org . The family will receive friends, to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Joe, at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 FROM 3-7 P.M. with a concluding prayer at 6:30 p.m.
