Joseph Anthony Fuizzotti, age 83, of Parma Heights, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 4th. He was surrounded by the people he loved—his daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister‑in‑law, and sister—who remained by his side with the same devotion and love he had shown them throughout his life.
Born on September 16, 1942, in Cleveland, Joe was the son of Mary (nee Dmitruk) and Guisseppe. Following the death of his father, his Uncle Peter D. became the cornerstone of his life. As a stepfather and mentor, Peter raised him with devoted love, providing the strength and support that defined his upbringing. He built a life grounded in hard work, loyalty, and a deep love of family. A longtime journeyman lineman, he took great pride in his craft and in the brotherhood of the trade. He was also a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, cheering faithfully—and with remarkable patience—for his Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers. He and his daughter Nicole often commiserated after Browns games on Sundays.
Joe was known for his quick wit and sarcastic humor, a charm that endeared him to many. He treasured his lifelong friendships and close relationships with his cousins, staying in regular contact. His coffee clubs were a cherished part of his routine.
Joe shared a close companionship with Elle Bochin, offering her selfless care and support throughout their time together and continuing that care until his final day.
Above all, Joe was a devoted father to Nicole and Gina, who were his greatest joy. He was endlessly proud of them and loved talking about them at the coffee club. His love for his family was steady, unconditional, and unwavering.
He is survived by his daughters, Gina (Ray Stack), Nicole, his sister Gloria, his brothers Pete (Mary) and Sal, his grandchildren Alexis, Kyle, Paige, and Joseph, and his longtime companion, Elle Bochin. He was preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones who now welcome him home.
