Kathryn "Kate" Anna Mcdannel

Kathryn “Kate” Anna McDannel (nee Childs), age 61, of Strongsville, OH, peacefully joined the Lord at home on Friday, January 13th, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born August 28th, 1961 in Louisville, OH. Wife of loving husband and best friend Scott; loving mother of Conner (Michele), Alyssa and the late Tayler; daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Childs; devoted sister of Melanie and Robin Busby. Kate was a graduate of Louisville High School (1979) and Ashland College (1983) with a Bachelors in biology as a sister of Delta Zeta. She was a proud member of Rainbow for Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a lifetime member of the United Church of Christ. She loved to travel, read a good book, and cheer on her favorite sports teams. She enjoyed working with her husband as the controller for North Coast Paving. She was a loving soul who doted on her family, laughed often, and brightened any room she was in. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her name to the Epilepsy Association (www.epilepsyinfo.org). A Celebration of Kate’s Life will be held at THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, 5784 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) SATURDAY, January 21, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. with a memorial service at 4 p.m.
