Kenneth Guy Cannon

KENNETH GUY CANNON, age 78; loving father of Kristen Lawler (James) and Kelley Block (James, Jr.); devoted grandfather of Joshua Alleman, Andrew Alleman, Nicholas Alleman, Kayla Alleman, Grady Evans, William Evans, Jozee Lawter, Bodey Lawler, Mia Block and Cannon Block; great-grandfather of Beverly Alleman and Wrenlee Lawler; son of Robert Cannon and Jane Carney; brother of Jo Ann Cannon (Robert Smiley); uncle of Matthew Smiley; cousin of Anne Warman; preceded in death by his longtime love Karen Leen.  Kenneth served in the Ohio National Guard from January 26, 1965 until January 25, 1971.  A hole in one was a highlight in his life. He had a special place in his heart for his nephew Matthew and grandson Cannon who have autism. Recently he was asked about his most cherished memory and he said the births of his daughters and the time he shared with his longtime girlfriend Karen. He loved spending time with his family, throwing a baseball with his kids and grandkids, and golfing at Ironwood, his favorite golf course. He was a truck driver for over 45 years. He brought his grandsons on summer trips in the truck and showed them the United States. He was loved and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday May 11, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Iron Wood Golf Course, 445 State Rd., Hinckley, Ohio, 44233.
