KENNETH G. KASSOUF, SR., age 96; passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Alma (nee Mross); loving father of Diane Bedrick (John), Kenny (deceased) (Joan), Barbara Rusinko (deceased) and Keith (Carol); dearest grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 25; great great-grandfather of one; son of the late Najib and Minnie (nee Tuma); brother of the late Harry, Virginia Trupo, Margaret, Elias “Zeke”, Joseph, Olga Gerst, Lilly Ramsey and Richard; dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. With WWII going on at the age of 16, Ken dropped out of school and joined the armed forces with three of his brothers. After the war he went to work for West Side Carpet. At the age of 21 he started Permanent Floors on Pearl Rd. and Clark Ave. in Cleveland. In 1952, on borrowed funds from the owner, Ken bought his first commercial property, located at Ridge Rd. and Virginia Ave. in Parma, and proceeded to build and own multiple properties. Ken loved the game of golf, dancing and selling flooring to anyone he met. He was a longtime member of the New Apostolic Church, in which he helped build several of the churches. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 3345 Strongsville or the SPCA no kill shelter, 9555 Brookpark Rd., Parma, OH 44129. A private family service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A public celebration of Ken’s life will be announced.
