LARRY SWORD, age 74; loving husband of Val for 52 beautiful years; beloved father of James (Bridget) and Monique Jones (Tom); devoted grandfather of Joshua (Caitlin), Zachary (Shania), Justin (fiancé Gabby), Kayla (boyfriend Mason) and Luke; great-grandfather of Peighton, Laneya and Preston; son of the late Hugh and Verna Sword; brother of Anna Osborn (Tom) (both deceased), Ernest (Bonnie) (both deceased), Charles (Mary Anne, deceased), Jack (Carol), James (deceased), Russ (Erma), Sherry Burchell and Theresa Fitzpatrick (Frank); uncle, great-uncle and dear friend of many. Larry was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for the Life of Virginia Insurance Company as an insurance salesman for 30 years, before starting his own company, Sword and Associates. He spent over 20 years as a DJ entertaining people with Music Explosion. Larry had a passion for golf, bowling, music, dancing and people. He loved to entertain and was always someone people gravitated towards. Once you got to meet Larry, you connected with him, and he became a friend or most likely family. He lived life to the fullest, would help anyone and loved his family more than anything. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made directly to the family. Final Resting Place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.)
