LEON J. SIMS (SZYMCZAK), age 94; beloved husband of the late June (nee Coleman) for 71 years; loving father of Gail Meltzer, Bob Sims (Terry), Mark Sims (Linda) and Kim Giaimo (Bill); devoted grandfather and great-grandfather of many; son of the late Leo and Nora Szymczak; brother of the late Eleanor Kopowski. Leon was a longtime pressman for the Cleveland Press and Plain Dealer and was the co-owner of June’s Catering for 27 years. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis DeSales Church, 3434 George Ave., Parma, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
