LINAS P. JOKUBAITIS

LINAS P JOKUBAITIS, of Lakewood, OH, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 12, 2025 at the age of 68. A celebration of life will be held on October 25, 2025; more information is below.

Linas was born on March 9, 1957, to Vito and Ona Jokubaitis, and would spend his entire life in the Cleveland area. Both Linas and his family were deeply involved in scouting, which would help shape his entire life. Linas was an Eagle Scout, becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow. As the first generation son of recent Lithuanian immigrants, his Lithuanian heritage also provided a constant connection through his life, from athletics and other activities in his childhood to lunches with the Cleveland Lithuanian community as an adult.

He attended St. Joseph High School on the east side of Cleveland, then received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Cleveland State University. Those skills he learned took him into a successful career working with chemicals and lubricants; first in the lab, then working in sales out in the field with customers.

While his technical skills led to many satisfied customers, Linas will be remembered for so much more. Linas loved to help others, be it with expertise, a helping hand with a task, or just a listening ear on the phone. If he could help put air in a flat tire, clear snow from the whole neighborhood in a snowstorm, or fix an appliance, he would be there, not just with the necessary supplies but with extras, just in case.

Linas kept in touch with so many and loved learning more about people. Customers, neighbors, and others he met all quickly became lifelong friends. He loved working in the yard, old cars, the music of John Fogerty, Guardians baseball, a good NCIS or MASH marathon on TV, and so much more; but most of all, he loved his family.

Linas was the beloved husband of Jae, married for 34 years and together for almost 50, as well as the loving father to Alec. He was the brother of Milda Sandargas (deceased) (John) and Ruta Kunevicius (deceased); brother-in-law of Jimmy Pacino (Marge); and loving uncle and dear friend of many.

Please join us in a celebration of life for Linas on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2-5pm (with words of remembrance starting at 4pm). The celebration will be held at the Ripepi Community Center, located at 5784 Pearl Road (at Snow Road), Parma, OH 44129. We hope to see you there to share stories and remember Linas together.
