In Loving Memory of Lois Evelyn Vavrus

Lois was born on December 17, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio. Lois loved spending time raising her three sons, gardening and reading. Lois died on October 18, 2026 in Westlake, Ohio.

She was married on October 21, 1950, to the love of her life, John J Vavrus Jr. and remained married until his death of January 25, 1989.

Preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Queenie Gribble and siblings, Donald and Dorothy Gribble, grandson, Alan Anthony Vavrus and granddaughter, Megan Vavrus.

Lois is survived by her sons, John Edward (and spouse Marlene), Alan Joseph (and spouse Gale) and Philip Dean Vavrus.

She has numerous surviving grandchildren, including Karen and James Vavrus, and Pam Fesenmyer. Her great-grandchildren are Becky Vavrus, Alan, Kara, Hannah, Bradford and Ronald Rhines, and Nicholas Grasso. She has great-great grandchildren consisting of Eceil O’Donnell, Makai and Kalia Owens and one great-great-great grandchild, Tommie O’Donnell. She also has other relatives including cousins, nieces and nephews.
