Lola Mae Williams

LOLA MAE WILLIAMS (nee McGary), age 78, of Parma, Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2019. Lola was born February 25, 1941 in Brundidge, Pike County, Alabama to John McGilray (McGary) and Grace Lorraine Pearson. Grandma Lola grew up in Irondale and East Liverpool, Ohio. She was a proud graduate of Stanton Local High School.  After graduation, she went to the University of Pennsylvania to receive a BS in Nursing.  Later, she served six honorable and fun years in the United States Navy.  She was proudly employed as a Registered Nurse for the VA Hospital.  Lola has touched so many people and she leaves her gifts to the world in her children: daughters Kristen E. Williams and Kelley S. Williams and her son Christopher J. Williams; daughter-in-law Trina Edwards Williams and her pride and joy, her grandchildren Christopher and Morgan Williams.  She also leaves a brother John Pearson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lola was preceded in death by her beloved aunt Maebell “Nanny” Pearson and brothers Willie “Whisper” Griffen and Leyman Pearson.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget of Kildare Parish, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 FROM 4-8 P.M.
