Lucille Marie Lang

LUCILLE MARIE LANG (nee DeRoia), age 99, passed away March 10, 2025, 15 days short of her 100th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Lang; loving mother of Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Mason (Niel), Christopher Lang (Janet) and Michael Lang (Tracy); grandmother of Alexander Mason, Matthew Mason, Amelia Mason, Gus Lang (Leslie) and Kate Lang (fiancé, Bobby Casarona); daughter of the late Antonio and Maria DeRoia; sister of the late Armando DeRoia (Dolores).  Lucille was Valedictorian of West High School, class of 1943, a graduate of Fenn College and Case Western Reserve University, with a Masters in Library Science. Her career as a librarian was well suited to her lifelong love of learning and prodigious memory.  She was an active and devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish for over 60 years, gourmet cook and the world’s proudest grandmother. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.foodforthepoor.org .  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Rd., Parma, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) FRIDAY, March 28, 2025 from 6-8 p.m.
