Maddalena "Lena" Tijanich

MADDALENA “LENA” TIJANICH (nee Romano), age 85, passed away at home with her family by her side, just the way she wanted. Born in Como, Italy, she was the precious daughter of Giuseppe and Lucia Romano (both deceased); treasured wife of George, with whom she’s reunited now in heaven; devoted mother of Maria Isabella (Joseph), Predrag “Dragi,” and Angela Costanzo; much-loved nonna of Nina (Shawn), Damien (Laura), Julia (TJ), Monica, Andrea, Gina, Christina, and Anthony; and adored bisnonna of Finley, Harper, Claira, Avery, and Ronan. Her life was truly full of unselfish giving in so many ways, and she touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her passions included sewing, swimming, traveling, casinos, and most of all, cooking. This remarkable woman will be in our hearts always and forever. Family will receive friends at Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Rd. (at Snow Rd.), Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2-6 P.M. Pomen service held at 5:30 p.m. Service at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 2151 W. Wallings Rd., Broadview Heights, on Monday, June 26, at 1:00 p.m. Interment at St. Sava Cemetery.
