MARCELO DIAZ LOPEZ (Pedro Luis) (Tio Cheo), age 80, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Puerto Rico. Beloved husband of Gloria (nee Gonzalez); loving father of Laura Diaz (Tom Albano), Jose “Tony” Diaz (Margie), Carlos Diaz (Marisol) (also survived by their mother Nereida Diaz), Carlos Gonzalez (Anna) and Pedro Diaz (Amanda); step-father of Jorge Vazquez and Luis Vazquez; dearest grandfather of David, Erica, Ashley, Nicholas, Noel, Angimari and Cayden; step-grandfather of Jorge Jr., Luis Antonio Jr., Ali, Dominick and Jayden; son of the late Pedro Diaz and Maria Lopez; brother of Angelica Diaz and the late Jose Antonio Diaz, Victor Diaz and Alejandrina Diaz; beloved uncle, great uncle and dear friend of many. Pedro was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and the last of the living legends of dominoes. He will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 3114 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), MONDAY 4-7 P.M. with social distancing and at the church Tuesday 9:30 – 10 a.m. social distancing and masks required.
