MARIA LOVANO (nee Vasi), age 85 of Parma, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 18, 2026. Born in San Fratello, Messina Sicily. Beloved wife of the late Alfio; loving and devoted mother of Sal, Joe (deceased) and Grace; daughter of the late Giuseppe and Teresa (nee Iraci) Vasi; sister of the late Antonio Vasi, Angela Bongiorno, Salvatore Vasi, Teresa Vasi and Marianna Rizzotti; beloved aunt, great-aunt and dear friend of many. Maria was a proud retired longtime employee of Parma City Schools and loved spending time at home with her family. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
