MARILYN ANN RAUSCHER, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026.
She was the loving mother of Karen (née Pawlowski) Heidenreich (William), Stephen Pawlowski (Christine Nottage), and Robert Pawlowski. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Thomas (Brenna) and William (Brittany) Heidenreich, and great-grandmother to Leo Heidenreich. Marilyn was also a devoted stepmother to the late Richard Rauscher, Michael Rauscher, and Kathy Rauscher, and a step-grandmother to Phillip Rauscher, Rebecca Tobolt, David Gray, and Shawn Gray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Anna (née Braksator) Ehret; her sister, Dolores Skalak (Lawrence); and her husbands, Richard Pawlowski and Walter Rauscher.
Marilyn is also remembered by her niece and nephew, Linda and Lawrence Skalak, along with many cousins and dear friends.
Marilyn built a successful career as a Tupperware regional manager, a role in which she thrived and formed many lasting friendships. Even after retiring from management, she continued selling Tupperware, staying connected to the work and people she enjoyed so much. She loved to travel, including trips to Spain, Disney, driving adventures to Myrtle Beach, and especially enjoyed visiting New York City. A lifelong sports fan, she cheered faithfully for the Cleveland Indians (Guardians).
She shared a special bond with her sister Dolores, and together they spent many years as spirited and competitive members of bowling teams. Marilyn also had a remarkable talent for gardening. Her roses and houseplants were so beautiful that they could have won awards. She passed that love of gardening on to her son Robert, who proudly continues the tradition.
Never one to simply settle into retirement, Marilyn later worked at the Independence Holiday Inn where she was beloved by her coworkers for her warmth, humor, and strong work ethic. She cherished visits with family and friends in Sandusky, Charlotte, and New York City.
Marilyn had a warm, ever-present smile and a way of making people feel welcome. She loved animals, especially her cats—most notably Snippy, who brought her great joy.
