Mary Ann Cutarelli (nee Paulin) age 88; wife of the late Renato Cutarelli, MD, for 57 years; mother of Marina, Paul, Ezio, Marta and Rita; affectionately known as “Nonni” to her grandchildren Alessia, Daniella, and Nicholas Saul; Aidan, Isabella, and Ethan McCaffrey; Benjamin Cutarelli; and Marco Cutarelli; mother-in-law of Todd Saul, Andrew McCaffrey, Christie Raney Cutarelli, Barbara D'Souza Cutarelli; daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Paulin (nee Zimmerman); sister of the late Henry Paulin. Mary Ann was born and raised in Cleveland where she attended St. Lawrence Elementary School and Marymount High School. She later graduated from St. Vincent Charity Hospital and St. John’s School of Nursing. Upon graduation from nursing school, she returned to St. Vincent Charity Hospital where she worked in Pediatrics and Outpatient Services. She sought to advance her career by starting a master’s program in nursing, but chose to put that aside in order to support her husband’s career, care for her children and parents, and later help take care of her grandchildren. Above all else, Mary Ann understood and valued the importance of a well-rounded education for herself and in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was the heart and soul of our family and she will be dearly missed. We are grateful for the compassionate care she received from physicians and the 7th floor nursing staff at University Hospital Parma Medical Center, as well as the entire staff of Holy Family Hospice. We take great comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace. Private family services will be held. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of the Incarnate Word or Holy Family Hospice.
