MARY FULLER PIRO; Mary left us far too soon, on August 8, 2019. She was the loving daughter of Kathryn and Layton Fuller (both deceased) and the devoted and cherished mother of Meghan Fuller Berger (Lee) and Scotty Layton Fuller. Mary loved to live life to its fullest and take on all the adventures life had to offer.  From singing in a band to jumping out of an airplane, Mary never backed down to any challenge.  The highlight of Mary’s life was when she became a mother to her two beautiful children, Meghan and Scotty.  Mary devoted her entire adult life to supporting and providing for her beloved children, who were the twinkle in her eye.  In 2018, Mary was able to see her family grow as her daughter, Meghan, was married, adding a dear son-in-law to the family.  Along with family, Mary was fiercely proud of her Irish Catholic heritage.  She was selfless and compassionate, caring more for the needs of others than herself and she was grateful for the blessings in her life. She found joy in the simple things of life – precious time with her family, a blue Montana sky, and getting together with good friends. Aside from family and faith, Mary was extremely committed to her career.  She went to work for Malrite Communications and WHK 1420 in 1978.  There she worked with legendary broadcasters Gary Dee and Don Imus. In 1982, Mary was then hired by Larry Robinson to work at M105, which shortly thereafter became what is now known as Magic 105.7, working with John Lanigan, Jimmy Malone and John Webster. Mary spent over 30 years in the broadcast advertising business in Cleveland, establishing great relationships with clients at large and small businesses. Mary was often referred to as “Magic Mary”, as evidenced by her license plate “Magic 5”.  While at WMJI, Mary was part of a team that won six Marconi awards, the industry’s highest award for excellence, over a ten-year period. Her generosity, spirit and zest for life is irreplaceable and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106, www.cancer.org .  Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Marian Chapel at The Church of the Gesu, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Heights, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
