Age 84; On Sunday, January 30, 2022, Mary Lou Jasko passed away peacefully at Little Sisters of the Poor in Pittsburgh. Daughter of the late Emmanuel and Susan Sewell; beloved wife of 63 years to Raymond F. Jasko, of Cuyahoga County, Ohio; mother of Tom Jasko (Janie), Diane (Carl) Taras, Raymond Paul (Kim) Jasko, and Karen Jasko; grandmother of Michael (Erin) and Stephen (fiancée Kayley) Taras, Lauren, Taylor, Bradley, Katie, Karli, Kelly, Kevin and Kyle Jasko; great grandmother of Benjamin and Amelia Taras; sister of the late Dorothy Bates, Kathy Sisson, Edward and Raymond Sewell. Mary Lou was a teacher’s aide for special needs children for 18 years. She developed a religious education program for special needs children at St. Joseph’s in Strongsville, Ohio, as well as a special needs Girl Scout program. Mary Lou enjoyed helping others and volunteered at Seasons of Life Hospice, Mt. Alverna Nursing Home, Holy Family’s Food Pantry, St. Joseph’s religious education program, and a program teaching adults and children to read. Mary Lou put all of her trust in God. She was a good wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed traveling. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd., Parma, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place privately at Holy Cross Cemetery.
