MICHAEL C. BAUMAN, age 38, of Bay Village, loving husband and father, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 27, 2021. He is survived by his much loved wife Julie (nee McCostlin) and cherished daughter Avery; parents John and Vera Bauman (nee Marrapese); loving brother of Michele Toman (Jay) and John Bauman (Susie); adored uncle of Anna, Luke and Mark Toman, Colette and Sammy Bauman; dear son-in-law of Kathy Barry (Keith Marchand) and Mike McCostlin (Sue). Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Michael graduated from Holy Name High School, Parma Heights and the University of Dayton. Michael was employed as a Clinical Integration Strategist at University Hospitals. He was the heart of our family and was larger than life. He lit up any room he was in. Nothing made him happier than being with his family. He was so proud to be Avery’s dad and sent his family videos and funny stories of all of her adventures. Michael started a garden in his yard and loved holding Avery up to pick green beans and tomatoes off the vine. He had a passion for cooking, good bourbon and fine cigars. He started the Sausage King of Cleveland on Instagram where he shared tips and tricks for smoking and cooking meats. He loved animals, especially his dogs Keelo and Apollo. He enjoyed camping and golfing with his brother and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Avery Jane Bauman Living Trust, P.O. Box 40271, Bay Village, OH 44140. Prayers of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Rd., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), WEDNESDAY FROM 3-7 P.M. Social distancing and masks required.
