Michael Decesare

MIKE DeCESARE, age 83 of Brooklyn, OH, passed away February 15, 2023 with his loving wife of 65 years, Faye by his side.  Mike was born in Macchiagodena, Italy and came to Ohio in 1953 where he and Faye would meet.  He was a beloved father to Sharon (Craig), Danny (Maggie) and Teresa (Matt); grandfather of six and great-grandfather of seven.  Mike was a very hard worker in construction at the steel mill.  In retirement, he took that hard work and turned it into the joy of gardening, keeping his lawn perfect and anything else he could find to do outside, even helping family and friends.  Being with family and enjoying a meal, making sure everyone was eating, brought him joy.  Mike loved traveling to Brazil to be with his sister Maria, brother Alex (deceased) and countless other family members; he is also survived by his brother Vince (Ursula) and sister Joanne (Jay). A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 North Amber Dr., Brooklyn on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10 a.m. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life which will be held at the American Legion Post 610, 19944 Sheldon Rd., Cleveland on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2-6 p.m.
