Michael Jacobs

Michael Jacobs, Age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 12, 2024. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Janet (nee Silah), as well as his six siblings and parents Michael Sr. and Eva. Mike was a devoted and loving father to Dan (Patricia), Denise Daleo (Carl), Michael (Linda) and Maria, grandfather to Danny, Brian, Carolyn, Bobby, Matthew, Jamie, Jackie, Michael and Nick. He and Janet also welcomed Carl’s children, Ciara and Joe, to the family. Born in Cleveland, he and Janet made their home in Brooklyn, Ohio. Mike loved music, and played drums for his band, The HiLighters, on the Goodtime for over 30 years and continued to play into his 90’s. Mike enjoyed breakfast with his buddies weekly, and endeared himself to anyone who knew him. Mike was a devout Catholic and an active and lifetime member of St. Elias Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to St. Elias Church, 8023 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, OH 44144. Friends received at The Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road (at Snow Rd.), Monday, January 15 from 3-7pm, Trisagion at 6:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Elias Church, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
