MICHEL GHOLAM, age 91; of Cleveland Heights, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Beloved husband of his life partner of 56 years, Jacqueline Hanna. Loving father of Pascale Abighosn (Alain) of Beirut, Lebanon and Pierre (Devon) of Cleveland Heights. Adoring grandfather of Sara, Rita and Michael. He was preceded in death by his father Salim Gholam and his mother Nabiha Takchi as well as siblings Jean, Helene, Elie, George and Rose.

He was an accomplished civil engineer and spent his entire 35-year career as a civil servant, planner and mentor to many, building critical infrastructure, primarily large dams and hydroelectric power stations in his native Lebanon before moving to Cleveland where he spent the last two decades of his life.

He was unfailingly kind, well liked and will perhaps be best remembered by his wit, boundless optimism and sense of humor.

He had a profound devotion to Mary and the two overarching themes of his life were faith and family.
