Obituary

Listen to Obituary

MICHELE (MIKE/MICK) FAZIOLI was born in Frosolone, Italy October 25, 1935. Beloved son of the late Vittorio and Carmina Fazioli.

Dearly beloved husband of Maria (nee Terriaca) of 64 years. Loving father of Don and dearest Nonno of Michael, Joseph, and John.

He was the dear brother of the late Vincenzo, Antonio, Giuseppe, Alberto, Donato, and Angela, and is survived by his brother Domenico. He was also a beloved brother-in-law, uncle to many nieces, nephews, and extended family throughout Italy, Australia, and the United States.

Mike immigrated to Australia (Manjimup) in 1968 to join his two brothers Antonio and Domenico. He was later joined by his wife and son in 1970.

In 1978, Mike and his family moved to the US to join his sister-in-law and her family.

Mike was in construction work for over 45 years and was always sought out for his skills.

After a long day at work, you would find him in the garden relaxing by tending to his garden. He was always eager to talk about his garden and happy to share the vegetables he had grown with neighbors, friends, and family.

He loved making all types of cured meats, cheeses, and wine. Skills he had learned in Italy and was always happy to share the traditions and products.

He is an avid sports fan and would always be attending Cleveland sports games with his son and grandsons. Whether it was hot or cold, you would see him at the games. His biggest enjoyment was to go see his grandsons play various sports. Most often shuttling the boys to and from games and events, never late, and always offering a tip to do better.

Mike will be missed dearly by family and friends but we take comfort in knowing that he has left us with many fond memories that we will cherish forever.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Rd., Cleveland on Friday July 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
