IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Milton
Michalske
November 14, 1924 – February 18, 2026
MILTON H. MICHALSKE, age 101.
Milton was born in Cleveland to Fred and Emma Michalske. He was married in 1947 to Ruth Makowski, and they shared 58 years together, before Ruth’s death 20 years ago. They had four children, JoAnn (Tom) Boruvka, Dennis, Raymond (Heidi), and Tricia (Gary) Uveges. His seven grandchildren, Jodi, Cory, Cheralyn, Alan, Erica, Rachel, and Megan adored him. He was so proud of his 13 great grandchildren: Max, Bennett, Elliott, Ben, Wyatt, Hazel, Iyla, Kyrie, Judah, Justus, Bailyn, Onyx, and Auryn.
Milton was a World War II veteran who served in the 29th infantry, a unit which faced heavy fighting, including at the Battle of the Bulge. He then joined the Cleveland Police Force where he served the city for over 26 years.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Dolores (Leibold) Kruzer and eight of his 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters and their spouses, Lois and Ollie Jerome, Ruth and Don Anderson, and Hank Leibold.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Bethany Capital Improvement Fund. Beginning in May, look for a memorial bench along the new trail at Chippewa. The family cottage there was a special place for him that he shared with five generations of his family and friends.
Milton’s family thanks the VA, Vitalia, and other caregivers for their support of him during his final years.
