A teacher by degree and a tool and die maker by trade, he continued to mentor others throughout his life, finally retiring at the age of 88. He had a deep love of animals and nature and joined the Cleveland Hiking Club at the age of 78 and hiked almost 4000 miles by the age of 90. He was a devoted member of St. Columbkille Parish and the First Cleveland Cavalry Association. Born into the greatest generation, he lived a life of kindness, service, and honor and was greatly loved by all who knew him. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columbkille Church at 6740 Broadview Rd. in Parma, followed by his annual summer celebration.  Those wishing to attend the picnic can contact family members for details.
