ORLANDO WILLIAM MARZOLA, age 99; passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Dolores A. (nee Anderson) for 68 years; loving father of Gayle Ham (Rich, deceased), Sherry Poloha (Mark), Robert Marzola (Shelley), James Marzola (Loretta), Richard Marzola (Michele) and William R. Marzola (deceased); grandfather of 16; great-grandfather of 18. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in Europe in WWII and Korean War in the full artillery. He was a member of the IBEW Local 38 for 74 years. He did High Voltage Splicing for most of his career, and also taught others his trade. He was affectionately called “mother” by his students. He was a member of the International Association of Western Reserve Division for 42 years and during that time taught code classes. He also was the recipient of the Prestigious Fred Everett Award. Bill, along with everything else, was the Electrical Inspector for the City of Brooklyn for 28 years. His hobbies included being an avid bowler for 50 years with members and friends of IBEW Local 38. He bowled until the age of 94. His other passion was a vegetable garden, which seemed to grow larger every year. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking them on vacations. He lived a full life and will be greatly missed by all.
