PATRICK EDWARD AFTOORA “EDDIE”, age 86; beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Sadd) for 64 years; loving father of Bonnie Ayat (Moh), Jacqueline Orsagos (Michael) and Nancy Hill (Nicholas); dearest “Gidu” of Nadia, Keivan, Therese (Tyler), Patrick, Claire and Dixon; son of the late Joseph and Anna; brother of the late Mary Kotoch (Joseph), Louise Shalhoub (Fred), Michael Astor, Eleanor Brody and Josephine Courey (Fr. Michael); beloved uncle and dear friend of many. Eddie, as he was affectionately known, was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, co-founded, owned and operated a successful group of restaurants; the Guv’nor Pub, the Lemontree, Hanna Deli and several others.  He was a 40 year member of Lakewood Country Club, an avid golfer and a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. He will be greatly missed. The family suggests contributions to St. Elias Church, 8023 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, OH 44144.  Funeral service at St. Elias Church, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), FRIDAY 3-7 P.M. Trisagion Friday at 6:30 p.m.
