PHILIP A. ABATE, age 88; passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025. Beloved husband of Santina "Sande" (nee Catanese) for 62 years; loving father of Francyne Kemp (David), Loretta Krumheuer (Mark) and Philip Abate (Glenda); dearest grandfather of Spencer Krumheuer (Lindsay), Travis Abate (Sadie), Tanner Abate (Leah), Evan Krumheuer, Kassandra Kemp (Eric) and Jacob Kemp; great-grandfather of Felix, Eliza and Rowan Abate and the late Jacob Krumheuer; son of the late Vincenzo “James” and Frances (nee Guerreso) Abate; brother of Michael Abate and the late Jennie Benko, Ida Tomechko, Alveda Lantzy and Victor Abate; beloved uncle, great-uncle and dear friend of many. Phil was a longtime manager at B&B Appliance. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching sports. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
