RENATO CUTARELLI, M.D., F.A.C.C., age 86; husband of Mary Ann (nee Paulin) for 57 years; father of Marina, Paul, Ezio, Marta and Rita; loving Nonno of Alessia, Daniella, and Nicholas Saul; Aidan, Isabella, and Ethan McCaffrey; Benjamin Cutarelli; and Marco Cutarelli; father-in-law of Todd Saul, Andrew McCaffrey, Christie Raney Cutarelli, Barbara D’Souza Cutarelli; son of the late Ezio and Marina (nee Pupillo); brother of Gabriella, Leonilde, and Aurelia (all deceased). Dr. Cutarelli was born and raised in Pratola Peligna (AQ), Italy, educated at the University of Rome, Italy, and came to the United States on a Fulbright Grant in order to complete his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Cardiology at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland. Known as the “doctor with heart”, he served at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, and Parma Community General Hospital where he also filled the roles of Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine. He was a Master Gardener and avid reader who enjoyed classical language and ancient history. One of his favorite pastimes was imparting wise advice about life and finances to his children and grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, 14865 East Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Monday, August 21 at 10:00 A.M. (please meet at church) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
