RICHARD A. “DICK” GRAFF, age 93, passed away June 1, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lois Graff, his children Richard, Sunny and Doug Graff, his grandchildren Jenna Stevens, Jessica, Joel and Erik Graff, his sister Doris Boehmer and preceded in death by his parents Ebba and Edward Graff. Richard Graff was a member of Parma South Presbyterian Church and the Palmetto Baptist Church, served on the Civil Service Commission in Parma Heights under Mayor Paul Cassidy and was active in Kiwanis Club, the YMCA and raised money to build Parma Hospital. He was an engineer (Case University, Fenn University), graduated from Annapolis Naval Academy and proudly served as a commissioned officer on the USS Tuscaloosa in World War II. After retirement Richard and Lois spent several years in New Zealand, then alternated between homes in Conway, South Carolina and Lakewood, Ohio. We will miss his happy personality and warm generous heart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to Parma South Presbyterian Church. A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 4th at Parma South Presbyterian Church, 6155 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, OH 44130. Reception at 12 noon and Memorial service at 1p.m. Wake and visitation to follow in the reception hall.
