Richard Patrick Hahn

RICHARD PATRICK HAHN, Age 79, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. A loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he is survived by his brother Thomas, sister Roberta Duffy, sons Patrick (Mila) and Thomas (Bianka), grandchildren Nikolas and Claudia, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ellsworth & Mary (née Gavin), and his siblings Charles, Marilyn Summers, and Patrick. Rich retired from Ohio Bell (AT&T) after 30 years of service as an engineer. Rich graduated from St. Edward’s High School in Lakewood, Ohio. He was an animal lover and an avid Cleveland sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf, softball, and bowling. A longtime resident of Brunswick, Ohio, Rich coached his sons’ little league baseball teams and enjoyed hosting weekly poker games with neighborhood friends. His Catholic faith was a significant part of his life and he was a member of St. Ambrose parish in Brunswick for many years. Travel was important to Rich and he listed trips to Australia, Norway, Ireland (traveling with his sister Roberta), and 6-week trek across the US in an RV with his family among his favorite journeys. He was a U.S. Army veteran and in his retirement he served his community through his volunteer work with the Salvation Army and Faith in Action.  Rich will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of those that loved him.
