RICHARD K. SOWINSKI, age 86; beloved husband of Maureen (nee Weber) for 60 years; loving father of Richelle Gnezda, Paula West (Jeff), Michael, and James (Stephanie); dearest grandfather of Brian (Laura), Katie, Alex, Adam, Rachel, Paul, Gabriella, Victoria, Augustine, and Francesca; great grandfather of Jonah and Paige; son of the late Casimer and Hattie; brother of Mary Jane Dare (deceased) (Bill); uncle, coach and dear friend of many. Dick was a well-loved high school and collegiate coach for various schools in the Cleveland area. He was also a proud U.S. Marine Corp Drill Sergeant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Bosco Church 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) Sunday 2-5 PM. Masks and social distancing required.
