Richard H. Vittardi

RICHARD H. VITTARDI, age 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday August 11, 2024.  Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Grega) for 58 years; loving father of Joy Marie Newman (James) and Greg Vittardi; dearest “Boppy” of Brett (Hannah), Rachel, Mickey, Jack (deceased), Nicholas, J.P. and Sandra; great-grandfather of Evan; son of the late Jerry and Marianne; brother of Renne Vlasuk (Phil, deceased), Gerianne Inman (Raymond, deceased), Marty Vittardi (Lynn), Mickey Vittardi (Sandy) and Ed Vittardi (Jackie); son-in-law of the late Paul and Marcella Grega; brother-in-law of James Grega. Also survived by Michael, Marlies and Mark.  Cherished uncle, Godfather and friend of many.  Rich was a longtime member of IBEW Local 38. He was an electrical inspector for South Euclid and Beachwood and the building commissioner for the city of Seven Hills. As dedicated as he was to his work, he will always be remembered for getting family and friends together for a Vittardi Party!!  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to SIDS Foundation www.sids.org.  Family and friends received to pay tribute to, and celebrate the life of Rich, at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY AUGUST 15, 2024 FROM 3-7 P.M. with a concluding prayer at 7 p.m.
