Robert William Bates

ROBERT WILLIAM BATES, age 76, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, sadly passed away on June 30, 2025 while battling cancer. Born October 14, 1948, in Berea, Ohio. Bob was known for his gifted athleticism, contagious laughter, and deep love for his family and friends.
Bob played several sports, attended Kent State University and helped win several club championships at Medina Country Club as a scratch golfer. Golf was more than just a game for Bob; it was a way to connect with friends. Bob also enjoyed traveling with family, especially spending time on the beaches of Florida.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife Karen; his children Bill, Amy and son-in-law Blair; grandchildren Taylor and Justin; and his brother Chuck and sister Bonnie. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charlie Bates.
Bob lived life fully, finding happiness in simple pleasures and creating memories with those he loved.
Friends and family are invited to come together for a celebration of Bob's life at THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, 5784 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), JULY 9, 2025 from 6-8 p.m.
