Robert A. Neale, age 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Devoted father of Kelly Neale (Stephen MacGillis) and Shannon Neale (Brendan Nagle). Loving son of the late Kenneth “Wayne” and Gloria Neale (nee Martin); loyal brother of the late Janet Kraisner (Robert); uncle of Tony Malleo (Christina), and great uncle of Mitchel (Echo). Former husband and concert buddy of his true love, the late Vivian.
Robert was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 18, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of Parma. He treasured his years working for Sony, Ideal Builders Supply and Ford Motor Company. He coached youth baseball, softball and basketball teams. He loved listening to music and connecting with people about his favorite musicians and songwriters, including Brian Wilson, John Lennon and Bob Dylan. Robert was sensitive to the challenges of life, wanted to live in a more equitable world, and found purpose in supporting others and reducing hardship. Robert was a community man who made friends with everyone: his coworkers, doctors, physical therapists, hair stylists, cat groomers, and mechanics. Gestures of kindness moved him deeply.
Robert was an animal lover and had numerous wonderful cats throughout his life. His most recent cat, Will Feral, has been a perfect companion in his late years.
In remembrance of Robert’s life, the family asks that charitable donations be made to the Northeast Ohio SPCA at northeastohiospca.org.
A Celebration of Robert's life will be held at THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, 5784 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), Monday April 27,2026 from 6-8 p.m. with words of remembrance at 7:15 p.m.
