ROBERT E. "BOB" RALLS, age 91; Beloved husband of Pauline Takacs and the late Norma Toole, passed away Sunday, April 26th, 2015. Bob was a graduate of Cleveland West High School where he was a standout athlete participating in football and track. He was a member of the 1941 Kumquat Bowl football team, sponsored by Cleveland Press. He received his teaching/ coaching degree from Ohio University in 1948 and his master's degree from Kent State University in 1956. He began his teaching and coaching career at Willoughby Union High School in 1948 and was elected to the Willoughby Sports Hall of Fame. Bob continued his career at Lakewood High School where he retired in 1978. While at Lakewood he became the first director of vocational education for the Westshore Vocational District. He was also a member of the Teachers Hall of Fame at Lakewood. He is survived by his wife Pauline, daughter Constance Kihlken (Bob) and son Craig Ralls (Nancy), stepchildren, Robert Takacs, Francis McIntyre, Deborah Wiant (Kriss) and Barbara Gubana (Al). Brother of the following deceased: Arlene Edwards, William Ralls and Helen Messmore, grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of fifteen. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Strongsville United Methodist Church or to the Southwest General Hospital Cancer Center. All services at Strongsville United Methodist Church, 13500 Royalton Rd., Strongsville, Thursday, April 30 at 11 a.m. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
