Listen to Obituary

ROBERTA DePIERO (nee Mamrak); age 80;  wife of the late Gerald; loving mother of Lisa, Chris (Laura), Matt (MJ) and Dean (Kathleen, deceased); proud grandmother of Nick, Jenni, Cory (fiancé Dee), Jake (fiancé Libby), Luke, Melissa (Justin), Erin (deceased), Andrew (deceased), Sean, Blake and Hadley; doting great-grandmother of Isabela, Rory and Kellen; sister of Adele (Dennis), Sandra, Francine (deceased), Frank (deceased); sister-in-law of Ray (Dorothy); daughter of the late Frank and Francine Mamrak. Roberta was a pioneer for women in real estate. After beginning her career with Bishop Realty, Roberta and Jerry founded Century 21 DePiero & Associates in Parma in 1979. She was the past Governor of NORMLS, President and Treasurer of CABOR, member of Grievance Committee and Professional Standards of CABOR, and President of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She did all of this while raising her four children. She served on many volunteer boards of the Cleveland Area Board of Realtors and she and Jerry were top producing sales agents in the area for many years. Roberta knew how to enjoy life and could often be found golfing at Weymouth Country Club, summering on the shores of Catawba Island and wintering in Isla Del Sol. She knew how to host a party like no other and all knew she treasured her martini with blue cheese olives. While Roberta will be deeply missed, we find comfort that she is now reunited with the love of her life, Jerry, who passed in 2010 with whom she shared nearly 50 wonderful years of marriage. Roberta was a woman of faith, vibrant, tough and strong. Spending time with her family was of utmost importance. In lieu of flowers, contributions are most appreciated to The Ehrbar Angels Foundation (Roberta’s grandchildren Erin and Andrew), 11218 Essex Circle, North Royalton, OH 44133, which provides additional driver education for teens. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Albert the Great Church, 6667 Wallings Rd., North Royalton, Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. Please meet at church. With a procession to follow to Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) THURSDAY 3-7 P.M.
