Roberta "Bird" Strmac

ROBERTA “BIRD” STRMAC (nee May), Age 66, died peacefully at home on December 26, 2021 surrounded by her family in body and spirit. Widow of the late Patrick J. Strmac Sr.; loving mother to their three children Trish, Jenny and Rick; dearest Grandma Birdie to eight: Kayla (Josh), Brian, Patrick, Kristin, Zack, Aliyah, Jada, Jenna and Aubree; devoted Great Grandma Birdie to six: Jayden, Taelynn, Dominic, Marshall, Jaxson and Carter; cherished companion to Roy Markley Sr. for 35 years; loved dearly by his children: Rick Markley, Janet Adkins and Roy Jr.; his grandchildren Robert, Rosie and Cassandra; his great-grandchildren Aiden, Emmett and Zander; daughter of late Walter and Barbara May (nee Lyons); beloved sister to Linda Markley (Fred), Mark, Mikey, Jack, Mary, Dee and the late Donnie, Cheryl and Ellen; aunt, great aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and dear friend to so many. Bird loved with her whole heart and accepted you unconditionally when she did. Her family was the most important thing to her and spent every minute she could with them. She embraced helping with her grandkids and great grandkids and captured every precious moment she could. She was there for anyone, family or friend, that she thought she could help even a little. She listened to your struggles, joys and felt the pain and the joy right along with you. Bird was very well known for being “the lady with the camera”, whether it was at big family events or just spending time with the kids. She was the one that would say “okay you guys, get together so I can get a picture.” Now more than ever, we all treasure those moments that she has left for us to see, share and remember her with love, compassion and pure happiness. Final Resting Place Calvary Cemetery. A Celebration of Roberta’s Life will be held in THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, 5784 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), Friday January 7, 2022 from 3-7 p.m.
