ROSA DEMONTE, beloved wife, mother, Nonna, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 11, 1949, in Mola di Bari, Italy, and carried the strength, warmth, and traditions of her homeland with her throughout her life.
Rosa was the devoted wife of John Demonte and a proud and loving mother to her sons, Nick Demonte and Pietro Demonte. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Mandy Demonte, into the family with love and strength, and was deeply proud of the family they built together.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud Nonna to Nick Demonte Jr., Antonio Demonte, Bianca Demonte, and Brittany Reynolds, and a cherished great-grandmother to Arianna Reynolds and Camila Reynolds. She lovingly called her grandchildren “Nonna's treasures,” a reflection of the deep bond and affection she had for each of them. Loving and devoted daughter of, Pietro and Pasqua Ragone (both deceased).
Sister of Dominic Ragone (deceased) (Ninette), Sabino Ragone (Pat, deceased), Margherita Guerra (Vittorio) (both deceased) and Frank Ragone (Jackie).
Aunt, Great Aunt, and dear friend of many!
Rosa was a member of the Holy Family Sodality and the Home Family Club. She was known for her incredible cooking—her kitchen was the heart of the home, and everyone wanted Nonna to cook for them. Meals were never just about food; they were about love, tradition, and bringing people together.
She was tough, strong-willed, and unapologetically herself. Her resilience, honesty, and fierce love for her family defined who she was. Rosa leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and unforgettable memories that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
