Background
:
Rose-Marie has a dedicated family focus with husband (Bo) and two great kids (son-Logan age 20, daughter-Sienna age 16). This was balanced with a career as a buyer at Famous Supply an Akron based plumbing distributor. We are living and raising our kids in a wonderful little town of Hinckley. Her parents live nearby in Parma which is where she grew up with her sister (Susan). Rose-Marie went to Holy Family Catholic School and graduated from Normandy High School in 1985. She attended college at Tri-C and graduated from Baldwin Wallace. Our wedding was in 1994 and we soon moved out of state to Tennessee for career reasons and a sense of adventure. We always planned to move-back to Ohio and relocated to Hinckley in 2003 to raise our family. Rose-Marie was a volunteer teaching assistant at Hinckley Elementary, helping the students while keeping an eye on our kids. She even volunteered as the school nurse and was able to help an 8-year-old with a painful foot issue when she noticed he had his shoes on the wrong feet. Rose-Marie was so strong while she battled this brain cancer. She bravely had open brain surgery, 15 rounds of radiation therapy and 50 doses of chemotherapy. She stayed as active as she could, resting when tired and as much as possible trying to follow her normal at home routine being a Mom to Logan and Sienna. A true believe in the power of not giving up and thank you to the many people praying for her and our family – this truly has a positive impact.
Special memories
:
Rose-Marie lived life in a Loving way that helped her connect with many people. She loved her family and stayed close to her friends. I want to share good, happy memories of her, showing how much she loved and cherished our children, I miss her terribly. Rose-Marie was an avid Cleveland sports fan and fervent follower of the Browns with Clay Matthews (number 57). Back in the day, she would eagerly watch for him at the BW practice facility and even got his autograph on a hand painted memento. Fast forward to 2020. Clay Matthews was informed about her illness by her best friend Dawn. Clay quickly sent an autographed picture “Cheering You On! #57”. This put an extra big smile on her face. Logan and Rose-Marie were invited and attended a “Kids State Dinner” at the White House hosted by both Michelle and President Obama. The contest was for junior chefs from across the country to submit creative healthy meals. Logan entered the contest with a self-created healthy sandwich. His Shredded Veggie Wrap was selected to represent Ohio. Rose-Marie and Logan soon traveled to Washington DC for the “Kids State Dinner”. Very exciting to tour the White House where... Rose-Marie and Logan were able to sneak out with a few squares of White House toilet paper without being noticed. Quite the keepsake for a memorable event. Sienna and Rose-Marie both enjoy being artists and would spend many weekends together painting at an art class. A stunning picture that Sienna created was actually a painting of a ‘Bat hanging from a branch’, I guess that comes from living in Hinckley – home of the buzzards. Sienna is only 16 right now but they both have a love of everything from the 1980’s. One project was High School ‘80’s day, where they worked to put together an ‘80’s outfit complete with lots of hair.
