A tribute by Russell's brother Richard Hart:
Russell E. Hart, 60, of Parma returned home to be with the Lord above, Thursday, January 19, 2017. He was born in Cleveland on June 6, 1956 to Russell and Grace DonVito Hart and was a 1975 graduate of John Marshall High School. Russell lived most of his adult life in and around the Cleveland area.
Those who knew Russ remember him as a great guy with a good sense of humor and a heart of gold. Sometimes he was the tough guy on the outside but always the softy inside. He loved his family, he helped his friends, and from time to time he even helped strangers he encountered along life's path. As a car sales manager his friends and family could always count on him for a good tip whenever a car needed to be purchased. As a devout Christian his family and friends could always count on him for wise counsel. As his older brother I can still remember a day in 1980 when Russ encouraged my wife and I to attend a service at Bethel Temple. It was there a miracle occurred and a Mr. Bellamy presented a powerful witness to our Lord above. When Pastor Crabtree asked for those to step up and be saved... Marsha and I were among the first to head for the altar. A life changing moment thanks to my dear
brother.
Throughout his struggle with life over the past few years his wife Ellen and children Rachel and Ryan have maintained a loyalty that was amazing to behold. His candle no longer burns on Earth but he returns home to be with his Mom, his brother, and his maker already in Heaven waiting for him.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen; daughter, Rachel Hart; son Ryan (Melinda) Hart; father, Russell E. Hart Jr; brother Richard (Marsha) Hart; sister Laura (Chuck) Woodrum; and sister-in-law Renee Hart. He was preceded in death by his mother (Grace) and brother (Robert).
He will be miseed by family and friends alike.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Galvanized Support Group in c/o Grace Church, 7393 Pearl Rd., Middleburg Heights, OH 44130. There will be visitation at Grace Church, Saturday, January 28 at 2 p.m. with a service to follow at 3:30 p.m
